new 2021s are hitting the lots!

Saw this one on auto trader. Not a TON within 75 miles of me BUT new Camaros are now hitting the lots now and most of the dealers listing them below MSRP on the internet down here as well.

Again not a huge selection but I'm kinda shocked at the number I saw. Even saw a new 2021 ZL1 listed.

Saw this stripper LT1 as well for under 35k! Hopefully more hit the lots and this helps drive the used market down for you guys who can't afford a new one.

If you wanna sell to vRoom or Carvana, Carmax I would do it quickly before dealers get more new Camaros that will new sell nearly the same price as what vRoom wanted.

Also, saw a Zl1 for 70k. Wouldn't that be a better deal than paying 85k with the ADM for a clunky Mach 1?

I'm guessing you're talking about the last of the 2021's? There were a bunch of 2021 MY Camaro's on lots around here in the spring, but the inventory dried up.

Yes these are new 2021s. They're still finishing up the 2021s before switching over in Sept I think.

Kind of what I had expected. I was scratching my head a little on it because there was actually a 2021 almost identical to my 2020 sitting at the dealer where I bought mine back in April. I thought it would have been odd if 2021's were "just" starting to appear in your neck of the woods. Supply wasn't THAT bad. lol

Many of these 2021s were sitting in MI waiting for semi conductors and already mostly completed.

There is no difference between a 2021 and a 2022. However I dunno if I would want a car that's been sitting since Feb out in the elements, especially if it's a rag top.

most of the ones I saw on auto trader were a listed under MSRP so they're not in transit. A number of these Camaros are likely ones dealers had allocation for and were simply waiting for them.

I would expect the ones ON the lots to be the ones showing at MSRP or higher.

My car sat outside on a dealer lot for nine months before I bought it, and it's a 'vert.

These were not in transit. They had them listed a bit under MSRP.

Dealer 30 miles from me had an LT1 they got about a month ago when the planted opened in May for a bit. They had it listed for almost a month and was about a grand under MSRP. The photo was on the actual dealer lot too. It had the RS options on it and was just over 37k, about grand below MSRP. It looks like it sold last week because I don't see it on their site or autotrader anymore. It was at Estero Bay Chevy

I'd probably take inventory with a grain of salt until they have real pictures of the car.

the two I bothered contacting in the past week were in transit

From what I hear chips are being supplied and being put in and cars and trucks are being shipped. I live by Fort Wayne Assembly and see trucks being shipped everyday so things are improving.

I just had some time and looked over Auto trader and i guess some dealers received 2021 Camaro. Funny part is… there are LOT more LT1 than 1SS.. even when i checked near me thru Chevy website. Some LT1 with options cost more than 1SS lol

For me, 6 ~7 months isnt big deal. Before Chip Shortage some cars sitting in dealer lot longer than that. Now funny part is… some dealers in position where they have to sell 2021 & 2022 at same time lol.

If the "overlap" is a situation across most/all dealers, then GM will introduce incentives on the 2021 models. I don't think it will come to that, though. In fact, my guess is that we aren't going to see incentives from GM until about the mid-point of the 2022 MY or even later. Not anything of real value, anyhow.
