I run the Firestone firehawk Indy. Excellent grip and good in the rain as well. Nothing but good things to say about them.

Excellent overall street tire.

When I got my car I replaced the stockers with Nitto NT555 G3 2 years ago. The grip and tire wear has been good but not great in ride or noise. Going with something else next time.

On my previous car, a C5 Corvette, I had Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Ride, grip, handling was excellent but they did not last and were expensive.

I've been daily driving Continental ExtremeContact Sports for 1+ years. I've liked the ride, wear has been great (10k miles) and they're very good in dry and wet conditions unless driving hard (600rwhp+ so yeah...). Michelin PS4S are considered a step up (better dry) but also cost about 45% more last checked. Next round though I'll probably go Nitto NT555 G2 fronts and NT555RIIs rears.

I just replaced my GY RunFlats with Michelin Pilot 4S and they are a very good tire. I find there is very little difference in ride comfort but they have much better dry traction. The OEM GY's RunFlats only lasted 13K miles or I would have just bought them because I do not like to worry about having a flat. I did get a tire inflater kit. The Michelin's will probably last at least twice as long than the GY's.

If you are just DDing, then PS4S is good, as it has been repeatedly mentioned. Firehawk Indy 500 is an excellent value. Great performance for the price and I ran them on my RX-8 very happily.

Are the stock sizes adequate? I don’t like tires that don’t have a square shoulder and run narrow.

The rears I dropped to a 295 as the 305 is a taller tire unfortunately. My wife works for corporate Bridgestone and they are coming out with a new summer performance potenza soon. Will have the size we need and it’s supposed to be a hell of a tire. We shall see.

Best wet tire out there and you pay for it. But still it's cheap insurance if you get stuck in a summer downpour and want to keep the car on the road above 50 mph.

Funny, but my SS gets way better traction in the rain than my 2012 GT did that would get hairy even with new tires.

I still HATE driving I75 in these blinding storms lately. In the Camaro and the small windshield it's just scary not being able to see well in blinding rain.

I'm a Yokohama Mama too, Advan Apex tires in ZL1 configuration have been excellent in my climate of high heat, much rain. Don't know why they're so ignored in the forums here...

Current rebate on those Yokohamas, I might consider them. Tirerack says not too good in the wet though.

Costco just had a good rebate on the BF Goodrich G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS, so I just put those on earlier this month. So far so good.

So what are you all running? I want either Goodyear or Michelin summer performance tires since I live in Florida and don't have to worry about snow. I also don't want run flats.

I'm pretty sure the dealer put these things on to save money. The guy who owned it before was an older guy, and based on his carfax he had all the oil changes and maintenance done on time and to the T on the car. I don't think he roasted the tires but being a 5 year old trade in they might have replaced the tires.
I run 305 Eagle F1 SC3's on the rear and 275 Yokohama Advan V105's on the front.

I'm familiar with the Eagle tires, they have excellent bite off the line. And the warmer it gets outside the more the Eagles love it.
