Conemark, you need to make sure you have the regular 18x8.5 five-spoke wheels and not the 10-spoke (split-five-spoke) SGE wheels that look like this: If this is what you have, then the 255s are not a good fitment and even the 245s are dicey. You should probably be looking at the 225/40/18 instead.

Luckily, I have the 5 spoke 18x8.5 wheels. I wonder what the rhyme or reason is for offering the 18x7.5 wheel.

They only come with the 1LS 2.0 and most likely for the lighter weight. The tires are the same as the 8.5 wheels on the 1LT.

Based on a bit of playing around with the "Build & Price" tools on the Chevrolet website, it does look like a new 1LS will come with the ten spoke wheel. When you go up to the 1LT trim level, the five spoke wheel becomes standard. I'm going to guess this was a change with the 2019 refresh.
Our 2018 is indeed a 1LS, with the tech package. All of the literature I can find shows the five spoke 18x8.5 wheel as the standard LS and LT wheel. |

It appears that they came on 2013 Camaros as well. Chevy may just have a warehouse full of them that they need to get rid of.

Definitely not losing sleep over this. What I am loosing sleep over is finding out the Falkens that I tried to buy during that "other tire retailer" flash sale are sold out. Delivery is "sometime in the distant future". This ha$ me recon$idering a local $et of Yokohama$ in 275/40R18.

As Solo Nationals gets closer, it looks like my remaining RE-71R's might be what I'm going with. I picked up a set of 265/35R19's on an extra set of wheels, which served me well at the recent Toledo Pro Solo.

Hey there! I just picked up a 2019 2.0 LT2 1LE to campaign in SCCA Autocross D Street, as well as HPDE events. I’ve read through most of this thread, and it has been very informative. I apologize if this has been covered, but I am wondering what type of 200tw tire sizes are most successfully ran on the OEM wheels, and what models of tires are generally available (at the beginning of the year)? It’s late summer (I assume that is some the reason), but I’m having a hard time finding 200tw tires for these wheels sizes. I’ve been searching for OEM and larger sizes.

You're probably going to want to move down to 19" wheels in the same widths as stock (8.5"/9.5"). For those, I would have suggested the Falken RT660 in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 sizes, but they may be out of stock right (I'd still call around though). An alternative size combo would be their 265/35/19 and 275/35/19. Those IMO are less desirable because the front will be pinched onto the 8.5" wheel and they are taller, which is generally not good for grip. OTOH, they seem to be available. Yokohama has the A052 in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19, but the caveats about wear and camber still apply and the 275 is on backorder anyway.

Look up what people are doing in FS with their Camaro SS. The wheel/tire sizes will be the same. There's a fast guy locally that runs 275s square (the front is fairly pinched), but he has success with that. He much prefers the Yoks to the Rivals he had before, and I would tend to agree with him because I'm not really a fan of the Rivals TBH.

Did the size change or is the literature incorrect? What's the weight of each of these wheels? Thanks in advance.

My 2021 camaro 1LS has the 10 spoke 18" wheels. They are stamped 7.5" wide on the inside. I just weighed the stock wheel/tire at 50.4 pounds with a bathroom scale. Tire rack lists the tire at 26 pounds so wheels are about 24.4 each. The scales records in 0.2 pound increments and I didn't weigh the tire separate so close approximation. Tires also had about 1000 miles with very light use so should weigh what they were when new.
