secondary cats delete code p0430

Hi guys today i went to a muffler shop to remove my secondary cats and now my chek engine light is on. I check with a scanner and the codes is p0430 bad catalyst bank 2. is it because it has a leak or i will need a tune to fix it

It is leaking at one of the joints. No tune issue. Rear O2's are in front of the secondary cats and only monitor front cat operation.

I just came back from the shop he said there was a small leak on one of the weld i hope it was the problem

So if we have a leak in the exhaust system even if it's after the o2 it will throw a code?

usually just if the leak is close to the sensor (which is monitoring the 1st cat). However, it is possible to damage the O2 sensor if it gets too hot during the re-weld. if your exhaust guy hasn't already welded it up, I'd ask if he can remove the O2 sensor when he plugs that leak he's already identified.
