That is exactly my train of thought when I went to order my 2010, and is the reason I do not have the sunroof. If it was a "moonroof" (one that went into the roof), I would have ordered it.

Look, we all know it's doable if they want. And if the correct cost effective way to do it was in the design phase then GM blew it. If they could put them on the 3rd Gen they could fit them on the 5th. GM got most things right with this car and certainly hit a home run. Offering t-tops and a few other goodies would have made it a grand slam!!!

Sorry but you aren't reading
y posts. It is all but impossible to do. If you don't believe (which is fine) google it. The current Federal Standards are the issue. And to clear up your point, the roof crush standard has increased 150 % since the Gen 4 Camaro.

So please guys quit trying to make tis a GM fail. It isn't

They could do it, it might have added 200 lbs worth of steel in the upper half of the car (with a significant performance penalty) ... but it could be done, theoretically.

Oh shit, Put a damn roll cage in it and be done with it. It would be safer than a hard top coupe. I want my T-tops!!!

Maybe someone in government needs to reclassify the t-top car like the vert. I know it is not that way now but that doesn't make it right.

It's totally insane to say you can sell a convertable but not a t-top due to safety regulations.
One more example of a backwards inside out government!!!!!

Here's some photoshops I did awhile back. (Original Camaro was VR. Made Hugger Orange, blew up wheels a bit for kicks, added color-lines. Added extra pillar, as it just didn't look right without, with tops on)....Extreme Pro skier Glenn Plake, with his signature mohawk, seems to dig it....
