This dude had his car raised for 2 weeks due to a coupling failure...appears to be sturdy though. There is also a video by Quickjack where they loading 15,000 lbs on a 5,000 unit.

Not sure the extender will fit under a car with drop springs or smaller wheels. 7000 fits the back pinch weld lift spots on a ZL1 and I would say they are robust. Don't expect to be carrying these around one in each hand like the guy on the website.

They are heavy but my 8 yr old was pulling one around the garage once I lifted it up for him.

Trying to figure out if I can use a BL-5000EXT on my small SUV also. Measured the wheelwell to wheelwell distance - 72". From the QuickJacks website looks like the entire length of the frame is 75" (which is less than the wheelbase), and the maximum lift point spread is 66". If I understand this correctly, it should fit?

Anyone know who's got the BL-5000EXT in stock. 2 months ago it said back in stock mid August, then late August and now September. Who knows when they'll actually be back in stock!

Are any of you with the BL-5000SLX plus extender able to store this under the car? Is there enough clearance?

They are in my workshop sitting under my race car at the moment (which is sitting on gojacks so it's higher off the ground). I haven't tried to put them under the Camaro yet to see if they'd fit under it.

Oddly enough, my local Costco has the 5000 model available for $999!

If it's the 5000EXT, that's a great price. If it's the 5000SLX, it won't work on our cars as it's too short.

I have the 7000EXT and have used it a number of times already and love it.

While true, it's still a good deal if you add the extensions separately.

I ended up having to put an engine in a car this weekend so I didn't touch the camaro so I couldn't validate that the 5000SLX would fit under the car with the extensions..

$1100 on Costco's website for SLX + $200 for extensions = $1300 vs $1420 retail for the EXT. ($1395 at Summit Racing)

Would the SLX + extensions be more flexible? I wonder if the EXT would be too long for many smaller cars? If that's the case I'd go SLX + extensions. If not $100 more to not have extra parts required is maybe worth it... but then again the extensions would probably give it a couple more inches of lift by the looks of it.

After spending way too much time figuring out how to jack the car up without damaging it using a rubber pinch weld block + a hockey puck, cutting slots in my jackstands for the pinch weld to sit into, ugh... one of these lifts + the alum pinch weld blocks seem like a good idea. This will make it so much nicer to work under the car too...

I know what I'm asking for for Christmas this year!
