Rotofab for ZL1

Sold my 2ss and bought a ZL1. When you order the rotofab cold air intake does everything you need come with it? Or is there something else that needs to be ordered to put it on? Really just wanting something to make the SC whine a little louder. Thanks for your help and advice.

Everything you need to install comes in the box. Printed directions are easy to follow.

I agree with ZL1Ray, that was my experience with RotaFab.

I like my RotoFab too. Made a slight difference in sound and throttle response! Was it worth the money I spent I would say yes in my case anyway.

What is everyone's take on installing any CAI before the warranty is up? I want to install one of these, but I'm wondering if I should wait until my warranty is up.

a CAI (and/or exhaust) are pretty benign and acceptable things when it comes to the Powertrain warranty but there's always the risk. You blow an engine and they pop the hood they want to be dicks about it, they can.

The stock OEM box flows air pretty well until rear wheel horsepower approaches 700 and above. As a result, there isn't much to gain from a CAI on the stock tune. You're really paying for more blower whine and looks. Add in the chance a CAI could potentially void your powertrain warranty and I'd recommend sitting tight until your either ready to do a high horsepower build or your powertrain warranty expires.

I did not notice any difference with just the Roto Fab other than a slight increase in blower whine. I do like the looks, fits very nicely like it belongs. I suspect it did contribute a few HP when I added my headers, pulley and tune, since the engine could use more airflow with those additional mods. I think a CAI is primarily for looks and sound on a stock vehicle, but it serves as a good building block as mods are added which can take advantage of more air to the engine.
