I plan to get me an ACS liner painted one of these days. What a Monday this was. I drove out to my first 2 client's home (the one in-home visit client home I have but 2 brothers are both clients). They were not home. The guardian/grandmother had called to cancel but out stupid voice mail system had a delay in it & I did not get it. That is okay though I get to count the mileage. So I tried to get the material for the seat covers but the fabric store was closed. Traffic tie ups everywhere. The air was out at work so I headed home for a while then back for my 1:00 client. They did show up and they managed to get the air fixed. Then as I arrived at the YMCA this afternoon a fire truck & ambulance came flying in. A kid had broken his leg playing basketball. I did a mile & a couple extra laps before class & I am wiped out. My calves were really burning today for some reason. It was ridiculously hot and the humidity was awful. As out weather guy says "air you can wear". Storms have not arrived here yet but may disrupt sleep time so I'm turning in early.

IT has changed my PC at the home office, and now I have to get used to Windows 7. It's nothing like the Windows 7 on my personal laptop.

You are totally right! Hate it on my personal laptop...............
Hi All - not on much anymore. Going to Stone Mountain for our annual ACE5 GTG. Things are really quiet on the forum, wonder if it's because of the 2016?

That is part of it. I think it started when Tran did the great NSFW delete which I think was in part a strategic move to start to reduce this forum & get ready to fire up Camaro6. Very sad.
It was a busy day but I guess I'm getting better at getting my documentation done at work. The storms blew up just south of me at work & we did not even get any rain at home. Mike had to water the plants. It got pretty bad in some parts of Tennessee with tornados & damage. Back is better just hurt this morning. Think I'll turn in early again.

I'll be 68 in 2 months so I guess age-wise I am an ole fart too, BUT, this summer I had my 2011 2SS Camaro supercharged, cammed, CAI'ed, headered, heavy-duty clutched and dyno-ed up to 605 rwhp. Today I had Nitto 555R drag radials put on with MRR 288 staggered Z28 replica wheels. Best money I ever spent!!!

Diane, speaking of Stone Mountain......
Not sure I shared this old slide here, but it appears I was at Stone Mountain in the 60's. I am posing with my sister. Our car is the '63 Chevy to the far right (the headlights are visible), not the Plymouth on the jack. Doesn't my sister look happy?

Yeah, there was some pretty significant damage in some areas. Glad it missed us.
I guess they will keep C5 going but are hoping C6 will fire up more; at least that is my theory. Must have rained here some last night from the looks of the standing water on the deck. I did not hear it; slept like a log. Not sure why I'm so tired lately. Slept a little late this morning too. Happy Hump day crew!

There is no reason we can't keep C5 & sill start a C6. I go on the other old Camaro threads & have talked to the people. Those cars are from our era. And we are owners of the new era & driving the $hit out of them plus modding the hell out of them.
Does anyone of us old farts remember the previous years of Camaros being as popular as they are now? All these big get together that we travel so far to.

From all the exercising you do it sounds like you're in really good physical condition. A common cause for back pain is weight. Even if someone is in decent shape, carrying extra pounds puts a lot of stress on the body. Have you ever checked your Body Fat percentage? The leaner the better your health will be and less chance of injury. Ideally women in their 50s should have a Body Fat between 23-31%. 60s 24-32%. Sounds extremely high I know, if a gal weighs 150 pounds w/a BF of 25% that means 37.5 pounds of her is FAT. And that's good even though it sounds crazy high. Men carry less fat, so for a man in his 50s his Body Fat should be between 18-24%. In his 60s 19-25%. We use one of those scales that analyze Body Fat. It gives you your weight, Body Fat %, Body Water %, Bone Mass, and Muscle Mass. It's best to do your numbers daily then average out weekly to get an accurate look. What you've eaten the day before can greatly affect the results, so averaging over a week, and average weeks for a few months you'll start to get the best idea of how your body is functioning. You can always find one on sale for $ 30-40. Hubby does his numbers daily, and has a log book averaged weekly, then monthly, then six months, finally yearly. He's been tracking his numbers for like a decade now. Men - they do be crazy sometimes! |
