Am I worrying too much about 2nd cat delete and emissions?

Hey everyone! Live in Mississauga and have a new 2SS with NPP.

Would like a 2nd cat delete. If I understand correctly emissions testing is only after 7 years, and then its every 2 years? secondary cats arent monitored but without them I would fail visual inspection?

But even more importantly what about getting pulled over can you get tickets or your car impounded just for modified exhaust? Are modified exhausts just fix-it-tickets or is it actually illegal here?

Been running mine with 2nd deletes for 6 months now. No CEL no smell no worries. I've been pulled over and nothing was said about the exhaust. I'm not gonna tell you it's gonna pass emissions but that's a problem for 2025 me lol.

how is the sound now? from what i see on youtube it is more of a throaty/that "ripping" sound as opposed to just louder. that's kind of what i was looking for not necessarily louder but a better sound.

so i was correct about that don't need to go for 7 years?

that is correct i havent updated it. i moved a few weeks ago for work just getting situated here. and i lost my last baby in the process

but got a new 6th gen so im happy about that

I deleted my secondary cats a couple months ago and I love the sound. I also pulled my NPP fuse at the same time. I love the pops when decelerating the most.

I'm running headers with NO cats at all. No CEL, but I got the car tuned

Car does not have 2nd cats. They are resonators.

oh that's interesting i see so many people call them secondary cats I was also thinking that they were secondary cats too.

btw Sabio what did you have done to your car? I met up with you once and someone was mentioning your car was a lot louder lol. have you cut them out?

Has to do more with the BTR Cam, GPI heads and KOOKS Headers.

lol damn! I was also curious about cutting out my resonators too but I guess I'd need a lot more to sound like you then

I was actually thinking since a resonator delete already requires cutting and welding might as well go for a full borla/corsa set up. Id love a cam and headers but don't think that's in the cards right now lol
