Hello Club F1FTY! I need some help! I have been holding out for a 2019, but a local dealer has a F1FTY Convertible and with the incentives it may be too good to pass up. I have the following questions--

1) Never had a convertible, wasn't necessarily something I was going for. DO you lose headroom with the top down? Other than the obvious, are their other advantages or disadvantages to the convertible? (Replacing cover after a couple years, greater depreciation?) (Apparently there is a coupe 2SS in Colorado, but nothing west of there, just a couple convertibles)

2) Is a 2017 F1FTY going to hold value better than a regular model?

3) Sticker price is 56K, dealer is quoting 47K, is this a good deal for a F1FTY? It has Magnetic Ride Control and Dual Performance Exhaust.

Thanks for any help on this!

I'm sure some of our 'Vert brethren will chime in soon. I don't have much knowledge as I own a Coupe.

1. Nop. You lose more on a coupe with sun roof. Open it up and you will gain a few inches
2. Not that I am aware off. The future will show

Less trunk room and rear seats do not fold down for trunk access. If that is important to you, you should consider it. For me it was not an issue.

Doesn’t have as many coolers as the coupe. The front grill is “solid” where a couple of the coolers would be. You have to REALLY look to see it.

I have heard that some tracks don’t allow convertibles. If you plan to track the car, something to think about. I’ve already tracked mine a couple times, even though that was not a consideration for purchase.

Hard to say. You could check the used values for 2012 SS and 2012 45th Anniversary SS as a comparison. Keep in mind, the Fifty has more “unique content” than the 45th does.

Seems like a good price to me.

Good luck with the decision. Post pictures if you decide to get. We’re dying to know what it looks like.

Martin and Soleil already beat me to the punch.

If you really like the look of the 50th package I say do it. Otherwise keep waiting for the 2019 refresh.

Can’t go wrong either way.
