Same. But once a month max. And not too much. Rub in with foam block the smooth with rag.

I tried the Adams vrt this passed weekend and for me it made a greasy mess. I guess I don't know how to apply it. I let it rest overnight and used meguires vinyl cleaner and it helped. Finally used windex to get rid of the sheen the vrt put on it..

I use Meguire's detail spray. I spray a little on a microfiber towel and wipe a small area of the hood immediately follwed up with a dry micofiber and buff dry. Looks great. But keep in mind that my car does not really see any harsh weather, it is not a daily driver, this is helpful I'm sure. Good Luck!

I use wizards wipe down matte detailer followed by Chemical guys matte detailer and sealer. It has worked great to remove water spots from the FL rain and these tiny bird droppings that I always get from the parking lot where I work. the wizards seems to clean the hood and the Chemical guys product brings out the color ( I use it on all the black accessories around the car BTW).

+1 for the Wizards Wipe Down. That's all I use for spot cleaning my hood wrap. I like the matte look and the wizards wipe down is the only spray cleaner I have found that does not leave any streaky look or shinier spots on the hood wrap after using it. Any detail spray or the Adams VRT will add a gloss to the hood wrap instead of leaving it matte black. Then to seal the hood wrap I use Dr. Beasly's Matte Paint Sealant. Goes on real easy.

You use so little sealant for the hood that one bottle will probably last you longer than you'll own the car for.

I've used Adams VRT as well and I agree it looks good, but does leave an oily finish. I have heard great things about the SwissVax Opaque for satin finishes, but it is pricey.

I don't know about shiny on the hood, but Windex multi surface with vinegar removes both water spots and oil. It leaves the hood looking like new.

^^^ This, after a good scrubbing with normal carwash solution and mitt. Then I normally pop the hood, get it up and dry it. Then the Meticulous Matte Detailer. Good stuff!
