I went with Dynosteve and he was great to deal with and made a few additional adjustments after the fact at no charge to tailor the tune to my personal preferences. Nothing he did wrong just some things I preferred. I have heard good thing s about Jannety as well. Either will be a good choice I am sure.... I am very happy i worked with Steve though...

I don't think there's an "Angie's List" for canned tune vendors. It would be nice.
Everyone's had their successes and issues. No vendor is perfect. It's how they solve issues when there is a problem that makes the difference. Always keep an open mind. The only customer it will really matter to in the end is you. People that got good service with either, will obviously recommend them. People that haven't, probably won't show up in this thread. It is of my opinion there's a perception here, real or not, that if you speak negatively of a paying advertiser, then you will suffer the wrath. You can always run a google and/or BBB check on a vendor and find out what others outside of Camaro5 say as well. You never know until you know. Researching potential vendors before you spend $$ is good. Good luck.

I went with dyno Steve and he has been great. I'm getting 470 hp to the wheels with a safe 91 Oct tune. I had an issue once on the road course on a weekend. I called him up and he was on vacation but stopped what he was doing to help me out much to his wife's dismay. He emailed me an adjusted tune that I downloaded to my computer using a wifi hot spot and had the car ready to go before my next session. I don't know much about Jannetty but I do know there isn't much positive about about him on the ls1 tech forum. But it's the Internet so you gotta take it with a grain of salt. I will say that whether your buying parts or getting tune's dynosteve had the best hands down customer service I've experienced. Dealing with him is like dealing with an good friend or family member.

Just to add to my earlier comments. The changes I asked for were for a softer trans tune especially in D mode. OP I suggest as you have an Auto to ask for D to be softer for daily use and Sport setup for game on!
As you have an L99 a tune will do way more for you than on a LS3 car. The trans tune is the gem in the package. As noted I can only speak of the person I dealt with but I have read good things about most tuners on this site so I don't think you can go wrong. An email tune is fine for your mostly stock car I would say. And Steve will go to great lengths to make you happy. One tune froze during the install and I panicked. I called Steve from Canada after hours and he answered and got me sorted! I will say my car is a beast now and it only has the tune nothing else! |

If you are in Kansas City give Ryan a call over at kc maxx performance. He was the tuner at lsxkiller until he opened his own place. I would choose someone local before any remote tune. Personally I've heard bad stories from justune so I avoided him and Ryan came highly reccomended from some owners of very well built cars around here.
