They had one in AZ if thats not easy for CA to get to then i dunno what is. They seem to ignore anyone who brings that Fest up not entirely sure why.

Maybe because it was 4 years ago?

Granted the two Fests I've been to haven't been easy to get to (12.5 hours for Indy, 13.5 for BG) but they're certainly easier than they've been for anyone from California

Just have a west coast (California) fest and see what the turnout is. When it flops BG and Indy will welcome us back with open arms

No one is ignoring AZ fest. I've brought it up multiple times. That fest was in April 2011. Next fest is in 2016. I think it's about that time to go back.

Pretty shitty attitude to have, to expect a fest to fail just because you don't want it at a certain location.

Firebird International was the one in AZ it was fest 2 and it was a great fest there was everything to do, I know there was people there from further East than Louisiana, Everything was in the same place, Bondurant driving school, drag racing, road course and autocross, I don't know if they made money or not but there was a bunch of venders and we had a blast!!!!! I would definitely go back!!!!

Maybe because of the 5 other ones that a lot east coasters seem to ignore? The Phoenix fest was arguably the best fest for a lot of people. It was my favorite hands down. That was due to a number of other factors than location and attendance but I have heard a lot of people from the east say that it was top 2 at the very least.

This event was created to get together as a forum and meet each other first and foremost. Maybe it's not for that purpose anymore.

Attendance is a must for us to afford to rent these venues but I feel for our guys and gals in the west. These people fly into the fests on the east side without their cars. They are every bit a part of this group as anyone else.

I completely understand why the West Coast gang feels a bit slighted. I am not sure what the right answer is though. Just like a lot of them wont put that many miles on their car to come East, I wouldnt to go West. Not to mention the extra vacation time spent on the road coming and going.
I feel fortunate to live in a sweet spot...west Tennessee. BG was a 2 and a half hour drive doing the speed limit.

The answer is very easy. Move fest around.
