Latest mods...

I just added the GM rock guards on rear. I couldn’t add them on the front because of my side skirts.

I also added the blackout kit all the way around by BigWorms...I will tell you, I will probably remove the third brake cover and replace it because I am not happy with the job I did. Unfortunately, I tried doing this while my wife was gone. We are remodeling the bathroom so I couldn’t find her hair dryer...could only find my daughters Donald Duck hair dryer and it didn’t get hot enough...

Regardless, the Wicked SS is almost done for the summer. I am expecting my last round of mods to arrive tomorrow and will upgrade the fuel system next week. Once Laynlo is available, we will swap to the smaller pulley and bump to about 600rwhp. Then I will start working on the e85 tune and likely play with the tune for shifting. Ted Jannetty and team were awesome getting me setup with all the fuel upgrades.

I also have some LT1 emblems on the way. LT1 Supercharged and LT1 670HP. Not sure where I will put them...but that will be it until winter.

Here are pictures of the blackout kit and rear rock guards.

Looks great!

About the rear rock guards. I ordered a 2018 2SS vert MBM/Kalahari, with the full Ground Effects package. (Delivery in mid-June.).

I’m going to be adding MRR FS01’s with 285/305 rubber. A few people have strongly recommended rock guards.

Does your car have the factory Ground Effects package? And if so, did you order the GM/OEM ZL1 rock guards?

Would love to know what you got, as it looks perfect.

Thanks!

EDIT: Just looked at your signature. You have side skirts from C7. Any idea how they compare to the factory set-up?

I have the kit from C7 Carbon. 285/305 rubber...on 20x10/20x11 wheels.

The GM rock guards would only go on back because of the side skirts.

Thanks.

Looking at yours and doing some google-fu, are they the GM Rear Splash Guards?

Splash Guards, Rear - GM (23319128)

Splash guards and rock guards look different. The Splashes look better to me.

Thanks.

Killer car!

I didn’t know there was a difference. Yes. They look like splash guards. Thanks for the compliment.

I am struggling so bad. After talking with Al over at JRE I can really see the value of adding the cam now. Ted also made me feel much better about adding the cam without the pistons.

Now to find out the cost for installing these goodies:
Lt4 hpfp, Lt4 in-tank pump, injectors, spark plugs, voltage booster, front crank seal, e85 sensor, boost and afr gauges...and cam swap.

Depending on labor cost, I may go all in now. I was originally leaning towards fuel system only because I don’t want the car gone long since it’s prime convertible time now. At the same time, I think either the smooth idle cam or the rough idle cam from JRE will finish off my build. If I am staying under 700, maybe I can go without the pistons.

Laynlo will get me on the road with the 93oct tune, then I will be working with Ted to get the e85 tune dialed in. I figure with just fuel, e85 and Smaller pulley (90mm), I should be around 630-650rwhp.

Let me here your thoughts.

Just adding the cam will make your car sound like it has 630 HP Adding the rough idle cam will make you feel that HP at idle , just while sitting in it and
it will sound like it's pissed off

Yep. I have been there before...I know all about it.

I guess I could go with the rough idle and only drive the car when I feel like the rougher go...

When I add the cam, I would expect to be much closer to 700rwhp.

Thanks a ton. Things are coming together nicely.

Looking forward to getting the next round completed, working with Ted to complete the Super Street Brawler setup. Gonna start sounding really mean soon.

Looks great!

I've been on the fence with the splash guards. They look great on yours.

Anyone know the legality of the blackout on the headlights, especially for California?

Legality? I am in the central US, we don’t worry about such things.

I don’t really know about if it’s legal or not. I do know it looks much better.
