p0305 code and service rear axle
So yesterday I want on a rally and was driving normally in the morning then a trackhawk wanted to roll race. I held the left paddle for 3sec to down shift to lowest gear. Then floored her and shifted it to auto. Then all of a sudden backfired and wasn't shifting correctly and Service rear axle and also got a code P0305 which is misfire cylinder 5.
Plugs and wires are about 5 months old and I never had this issue. Where do I start I read it could be do to low voltage but not sure if that the case. I'm charging battery on tender to start. What else do you guys recommend I do? Forgot to mention I have a JRE125 package |

Will do thank you. Also 3rd gear pulls even on a auto?
Also kind of off topic is anyone have a tablet or something similar that you guys run everytime on track or when your doing pulls with HPtuners logging? I'm thinking I want to set something up to have in the car that can log everytime I go out just incase a code pops up or anything else happens. |

I do not recommend doing any pulls period until you inspect first. At least pull the plug on cylinder 5, check replace etc. Last thing you want to happen is a piece of the plug falling off and losing a cylinder or block for that matter. I’ve got a windows tablet I keep with me when logging.

Any of the P0300-308 codes will throw the service rear axle and stablitrak warnings... don't know why but they will.
Since you mentions the JRE package check to see if a wiring harness has gotten close to or is touching the headers. If not then check/change plug wires and plugs. If that doesn't do anything then possibly an injector or the AFM lifters. From all my research and reading these things tend to be the issue when random misfires pop up out of no where. |

Check plug wires, plugs, coil pack wires (make sure the female contacts are locked and not becoming recessed when inserted into coil pack).
If your headers do not have a high quality coating to reduce heat you could have a plug wire issue. You should get 1 click when inserting the plug wire onto the plug and 2 clicks when inserting the plug wire into the coil pack.

Good choice with the Swaintech, same here! I have no issues with header to plug wire heating/damage.

So I checked cylinder 3 and 5 with the miss fire and they both look the same. Now the wires is crazy because the #3 is cracked and the #5 inside the pins look bent. So im replacing the wires with heat shield.
What do you guys recommend. I have MSD Wires now is there anything better? I ordered Granatelli with heat shield found a promo code. Last edited by 20Bluezl1; 09-14-2021 at 05:05 PM. |

Looks like you’re on the right track. Hopefully new plugs and wires will fix the problem.
