Pressing the start button while keeping your foot off the brake doesn’t work.

Should be pressing the start button with foot off the brake.
this will be accessory mode.

holding for 5 sec will be a service mode. Details are in the manual

Right , but that’s not “on” Limited access to vehicle settings and such in accessory mode.

Accessory mode should be everything 'on' except the engine.

I think what he means is that you can't access a lot of the dash settings unless the car is on. You can listen to the radio, turn on lights, etc, but you can't change vehicle settings, performance settings, etc. without the car being turned on (Learned this a few days ago myself).



On a side note. As far as XM radio. I had to create an account on XM with my VIN number / XM radio number. After that, I had to hit a button that sends a refresh signal to my radio which started my trial subscription.

Solved the visor sticker problem. Drivers side pulled off with some effort and residue left behind. Goo gone removed that quickly. Passenger side was more challenging. The way to do it is too wet the sticker first with goo gone and peel applying more solvent as needed.

Purchased this air compressor which fit perfectly where the factory compressor would go in the trunk. Works great and quieter than others I’ve tried.

Not too sure what you can't access. Every morning before I start my car I go in to accessory mode first to prime the fuel pump, sometimes I change from sport to stealth mode for my exhaust settings so I do not wake the dead at 5AM starting up. Every single option is available in accessory more.
I can change all audio/climate/car settings without the car actually running.

You fuel pump doesn't prime when you open the door before getting in? My 2020 LT1 does, you can hear it quite well.

As mentioned, with no foot on the brake and you hold the start button, it will give you access as if it were on and running. The button will need to be pressed again before exiting. It doesn't shut off when opening the door in accessory mode or operating under RAP.

My car is a manual. I’m wondering if this is the reason for different results with the foot off the brake button push.

So is mine. Hold the button for many seconds after you see it first start to light up. Holding it longer goes through accessory mode to the other. Let's say for arguments sake, hold it for 15 seconds.
