This is why we can't have nice things. Had a jerk with a weed-whipper throw a rock on my driver door less than a week after buying mine. Needless to say I took it to get paint correction and FULL PPF a week later.

I have two, but my cheaper vehicle is a new 2018 Tacoma PRO. So not a beater

I had to do the "shimmy" to get into my car!
This P.O.S. was full of scratches and dings.
What is wrong with people?
Sorry for the rant.

A buddy of mine who was, before he retired, a professional body and paint guy always had beautiful classic vehicles. Parked out in a lot one day, way out, and still had someone park next to him. His revenge was to go around the vehicle and remove every piece of chrome trim and gently leave it on the hood of this vehicle. Keep in mind nothing was damage as he did respect others property. But I’m sure the owner of that vehicle thought it was destroyed.

I had this happen to me the other day at the movie theater. As soon as I walked out I started fuming. Then as I got closer I noticed it was an '05 - '06 GTO. Immediate sigh of relief. I knew a car guy would be careful.

Where I can, I avoid lawn mowers. Some mulch , some just side discharge and fling $hit without regard.
2 years ago, driving on a gorgeous day, top down on a secondary highway, was hit by stones from a lawn tractor doing ditch cutting in front of his farm.
There was a group of us, and damn , he got us all.
What can you do. ARGH.

If you're going into the store real quick and will be right out then just park in normal spots.

Think about it. If you're in and out then chances are the cars you park next to will still be there meaning nobody got close to your car.

Second, it gives you the option of choosing what your car is parked next to as opposed to some random person who bumbless thru the parking lot and decides to park next to your car.

Trust me, sometimes the safest spots are right up front where all the other cars are parked.

Nope for me on close even for 30 seconds. My first car I ever owned was hit and run 3 times in the parking lot over a year's time. I don't care if I have to Uber to the front door. I don't park close

I look at it as, people that are normal park close, which are big fat people(half of America) that want to park close. Women with children in vans want to park close. Old farts want to park close. People driving any kind of beaters want to park close. If it is raining/snowing, people want to park close. People in a hurry want to park close. People in for just a second park close.

It is really us non normal people, that are single, no kids, young, slim, in good shape drive nice vehicles that are not in hurry and take our time that park far away. And if it is raining, i don't drive the ZL1.
