My review of the Sto N' Sho front license plate system

I looked on the forum for some more information regarding this product before purchasing and found a review from sledgehammer70 which was helpful but I figured 2 reviews are better than 1. I ordered the product from Phastek and it came in the mail 2 days later, pretty fast shipping!

As for the installation it was so easy that I really don't see much sense in elaborating on it and there are multiple videos of how to install it. It only took me 5 minutes to install.

As for the actual product the black coating on the steel seems very tough and clean looking. The holes lined up perfectly for the 2 bolts under my front bumper and they were large enough to fit the 2 OEM screws. the plate mount lowers front ground clearance by less than 1/2 an inch but also gives added protection, if you were to scrape something head on with their product in place it should hit the metal plate before hitting your plastic bumper.

I personally like this mounting position as it does not obscure the front grill. The product is also great in that removal of the plate can be done in seconds by pulling a pin a taking off the plate which is great for anyone going to car shows.

Overall I'm very satisfied with my license plate mount and it seems as though it will hold up over time. I hope this review helps someone interested in this product!

Thank you for the review. Could you post a 3/4 or side view picture?

I think this would be perfect IF the plate was angled back towards the grill 20-30 degrees (instead of being vertical like it is now) for two benefits. One, directs air into the radiator and two, aerodynamically cleaner without the plate acting like a sail. Just my opinion.

I also have one, & I was able to bend the two support bars that come out of the quick disconnect bracket to achieve I would guess about a 15 degree angle. I was worried about breaking the metal if I tried to bend it at a larger angle. It was easy, I just clamped the two rods in a vise & applied pressure

I used to have the Sto n Sho on my 5th gen and loved it, but on the new one I decided to go with the ZL1 Addons' tow hook mount, giving it a cool offset look. I kinda got tired of the hovering look that the Sto n Sho gives, and i'll be getting the Alpha 6 body kit, so that wont work with the Sto N Sho, but its still a great option for those keeping the front stock.

Sure thing, as soon as I get around my car again I'll take one. Looks a bit odd from the side as some others mentioned but it looks a lot cleaner than the stock mount if you ask me.

Thanks for the heads up, I may have to try that.

Here are a few more quick photos I took, I love the mount, i may bend it back a little bit as other guys on the forum did with theirs to make it a little more flush looking. Please excuse the dirty car, she is in need of a wash.

I have the sto-n-sho bracket but I modified it a little and mounted it on the center of the lower grill, with the license plate bracket off you can't even see it.... came out awesome.....

That looks awesome! It's good to know that there is more than one possible mounting location with the bracket. I think I would be too afraid of permanently ruining mine but yours looks great.
