As far as real life MRC capability on track, let's not forget gen6 SS 1LE beat $75,000 Z/28 track "weapon" which had more power, more tire, trick DSSV and uber Trofeo Rs to boot. But, oops! It was slower. And as experts will confirm, stiffer can be slower vs faster and be horrific on tire wear as well. Bottom line, the SS 1LE beat the Z/28 due to its superior handling. Nothing else. And sure as heck the MRC played a big role in it.

Food for thought and just a different perspective from my armchair Cheers!

Yes and also how many here are really pushing the car that fast that they could even use a set of hi dollar shocks?

I currently run consistent low 10s at Lightning @ NJ and that is on take offs. I would be better served to run stickers and lower my times.
If I can run 8s then I will spend the money for Penskis.

Trackclub is correct. The Camaro is just to heavy, better suited with C5 or GS C6

Well it really doesnt matter what "competition" those guys run imo. Regular amateurs no matter what events they run will be best served with better weight to power ratio, tires and seat time. One needs to be a pro level to get the most out of a suspension and its set up. Unless orginal one is crap, which MRC is not by any means as proven by laptimes pros get in those cars bone stock.

I think for non-MRC cars, aftermarket is probably a good option (although, I have never driven a non-MRC Camaro, so I don't know how good GM's shock tuning is on them), but with MRC, going aftermarket makes no sense unless you plan on making it a dedicated track car and if that is the case, there are better track specific cars out there to build up.

I just don't see much of a market or need for a MRC equipped car (especially in 1LE form) as GM really nailed the calibrations on it.

No kidding. Suspension always works as a tuned unit:
Springs, shocks and sways.
