Car duster

Does anybody use car dusters ? If so what kind do you got? Just washed and essence and reloaded it the next day a layer of dust or pollen WTH.

I do. I use Cali. Don't use it with any pressure, just let the bottom barely touch the car and shake of after each small section.

Dusters were popular like 20 years ago and I just threw out my last one. I think there's too much of a chance this will eventually scratch your car with all the dirt it picks up. Also they usually have some wax or oil on them that will streak your car. I would only use them for the interior.

I use a marino wool duster. After each use I wash it with warm water and Woolite, let it air dry and it's clean and ready for use again. Does not scratch.

Dusters will scratch your paint, if you have a white or silver car you may get away with one.
The best dust removal tool is Waterless Wash.

I only use a duster if the car is clean or near-clean, i.e., to remove a light layer of dust shortly after a wash when the car has been sitting in the garage for a few minutes. It's a useful tool in the middle of a detail process. But for maintenance, not so great.

There's a reason why pollen sticks so well to your clean car, you want to use as much lubrication as possible when removing it.

A California Duster will not scratch your paint if used properly. It's for light dust only.

I use a battery leaf blower instead any type of duster, nothing touches the paint.

I've used California dusters for years on all of my cars. They've all been black before this one. Never had any issues with scratching.

The Cali duster I have is more than 15 years old and has been over 7 vehicles two were black has never scratched a single one. It's almost always user error.

I dust each day, more than a day of dust or a particularly dusty day, then there is too much to expect it come off. A leaf blower wont get that done for me, have tried it.
