My car is scheduled for Monday for this update, oil change, tire rotation, and an alignment check. They said they need to "look for code" first before they update. . didnt know these stored codes like this (i see your first post states this too)

Yeah the first time it did store a code. They said this time it didn't but based on my videos, they are replacing the screen and they redid the update. I'll have to get more information from them when I pick up the car to see why they think the update might not have taken the first time

Got my car back today. New screen is on order but they had reupdated the software because the GM engineer they spoke to was suspicious it didn't take the first time.

I checked settings and it looks like he was correct that the update didn't take the first time. I have a new software number than before. I updated my earlier post with the correct updated software info.

So far it has acted completely normal! They still want to replace the headunit though as a precaution but they said it may be a few weeks until it arrives. That will give me plenty of time to see if the update has made a difference or not

Ok cool...let us know. I had one issue so far, not sure if it was a fluke or not. My phone connected via Bluetooth, was not able to browse music on my phone kept saying no media available, but I could play songs and skip through them, just couldn't browse and pick. Seem to only last the day, then the next day it was fine and has been fine ever since.

Make sure android auto is physically closed out of RAM on your phone. My phone needs this done when I open it up for the second time.

Had a weird issue today. It happened once before a few weeks ago, before the software update. "Driving modes" disappeared from the settings menu. It's just gone. I have no clue how to get it back. Last time it was gone for a day and came back on its own.

Pull the neg batt cable for a few hours...had "no audio" yesterday for a cycle, on /off did it. I'm sure there will be a few stability reflashes in the next year. I'm gonna check batt voltage too, that's a culprit sometimes.....

Yeah I think I'll try it. I just checked the car and it was back but still weird

This didn't help. The driving mode settings had come back before I pulled the negative battery cable and they were there after I plugged it back in, but on my way to work tonight they were gone again.

I'm thinking this has something to do with "stealth mode" sound option and/or leaving the "engine sound management" settings display up when you turn off the car. I'm going to mess around with it and see if I can get it to constantly happen. Every time the driving modes page has disappeared from my settings menu, I'm pretty sure I was messing around with "stealth mode."

Just my $.02, but seems like the fuse pull may have had something to do with it. It just seems like something isn't communicating as if you had your software updated with no fuse in. I've had mine out since I first asked you about it and love it, but last I checked I could still toggle the settings (obviously they wouldn't do anything with no fuse in though). They really shoulda made a simple fully open or fully closed sorta toggle, maybe they realized it was glitchy and tried to save us from ourselves hah.

Still need to bring mine back in for the weird in between transmission gear and how the software update made it to where when I turn the car on audio isn't recognized at first whether plugged in or not even while connected to Bluetooth, I have to click the audio button a couple times to get it to find and recognize the connected device. Also wonderful to know my service team has been ignoring emails now too, sucks using a place you didn't buy the car from for service..
