Ive had my car less then a month and its done this a lot. I didn't think mine was going to start yesterday. It barely did. Kind of embarrassing when your brand new car doesn't sound like its gonna start.

In the staging lanes at Beech Bend during Camarofest my cars outside temperature gauge was reading 106 degrees. After a couple of runs I became concerned because it was starting so slowly but it never let me down. I guess it is just a quirk of these LT1's.

not the usb charger, damn what is it called lol. I believe its the 12v system? uses a car charger adapter. Ive noticed that while its plugged in even without a device attached, it seems to drain the battery remarkably fast ( seemingly in minutes if not seconds.) I unplug the thing every time before I shut off the engine now, no more slow start issues for me I hope, fingers crossed.

Plz post pic, I have no idea what you are talking about or location... I'd like to test out your theory as well.

No problem, I circled the suspect. Haven't had a slow start since I recognized it as a potential problem. Please let me know if your tests yield similar results!

- Image should be working now

I have a dashcam, throttle controller and sub/amp combo added to my battery and can't say I've noticed it get any slower than it was with no additions. Saying that, it certainly *is* slow to crank in general. If I remember correctly, the flywheel on these cars weighs over 60lbs - I wonder if part of that slow crank is due to cranking such a heavy weight. I'm not sure how that might play into people having a slower crank when warmed up, though. My old s13 with a CA18DET would start on first crank most times - could it be related to plugs/wires somehow? Maybe I'll do some experimenting and see...

Recently did some 1/8th mile track runs in 95 heat and very high humidity. Did 5 runs and then took a break, opened hood for about 15 minutes, went to start it and slow cranked a bit but started. Did same thing again after another 5 runs. First time I've experienced this. Following day with normal driving and several stops had no issues.

Mine does the same, also my 5th gen did the same thing. It is heat soak in the starter, and yes it is embarrassing when other people are around.
