GM has tried it. I think that what Ford is doing in the new 3.5EB is the best solution by far. It has DI and regular port injection. It uses the DI at start up and when called for power delivery and port injection other times. It's pretty interesting "fix" to the problems DI caused.

Exactly. It's just another maintenance item.

Plus, the amount that the catch can will catch totally depends on your driving. So you would have to have it wired up to a dummy light that makes you dump it. Can you imagine the uproar when people would have to dump it maybe once a month? It's crazy the amount of complaining people do when they spend $30k and don't want to upkeep that investment.

Cost.

We all know porting and polishing increases airflow, efficiency and power. And now days cnc machines can be programmed to do so...

So if the epa is squeezing down on mpg and fuel use... why don't factories do the port and polish...simple easy to do, just trim the flashing from casting processes...but...

Cost.

So tell me, how many miles did your previous Camaro have on it when you traded?

101,288 I believe. or it was 101,25X. I know I drove it to the dealer on sat, but got there too late, so I had to wait till Monday for the banks reply, which is when I did the trade and swapped cars.

the charger I bought in 2007, got it with 22,489 miles, and in 6 years on trade in day, had 244,0XX miles. ran the billet technologies catch can on that one. Apex v2 was on the Camaro.

I got it all written down, but between college football, and taking quite a few chair shots in wrestling some days I can draw blanks on some of the smaller details.

Sounds like even with the Direct Injection my car will probably last as long as I will. Given I will most likely put 3 to 5 thousand miles per year on it. Thankyou for the encouragement.

Yea, uce. You'll be more than fine. I do what you do in a year in roughly a months time, no joke.

Just do you maintained E and stuff and you'll be good. Nothings wrong with the engine at all.

Things like catch cans just improve its efficiency.
