Factory spoiler removal

Adding the blade spoiler and have heard about paint issues when removing the stock spoiler...anyone think there is something I can do before I start to remove the stock spoiler to prevent paint issues like putting some wd-40 or some other product and heating it up with a blow dryer? Thoughts?

For those that have done the blade install....if there are paint issues, want the new blade spoiler cover it up after installed...

Ok I soaked it with wd-40 and put the hair dryer on it and before removing the spoiler and looks good....a little paint around where the bolts go through was a little chipping but the blade spoiler will cover that up...not sure if the wd-40 and hair dryer worked, but I do have a '10 model...

If you are installing a Blade Spoiler if it is the factory 3 piece any blemishes will be covered anyhow. I thought from what I read was the paint chipping issue was a GM issue and that basically either the spoiler is going to chip the paint or it won't and nothing you really can do to change the outcome.

When pulling of the factory spoiler I had heard it would bring the paint up with it and there would be spots the blade wouldn't cover...so I heard....all good though, no paint issues.
