Well, I haven't done it yet, but I have the feeling that in my car the rattle comes from the driver's side. I guess I will have to do both.

Dumb question but, where is this located? I see two control valves on each side. (When looking at it from the back of the car,) I see one under the bumber right next to the exhaust tips and another further up the pipe just before the mid pipe (not sure if that's an X or H pipe).

They're the ones closest to the exhaust, the other pair before the midpipe is the two AFM valves. I performed this mod on my car in the meantime, and it does work : https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=582788

Awesome! Just completed the work myself and sure enough the rattle is gone. Thank you all for your support!

I cant find the epoxy fix on the repairprocedures website. Perhaps this one supersedes it?
This worked amazingly and super easy to access the valve. The hardest part of the whole job was unlocking the connector and then trying to install it and get it locked again. You have to push the grey locking tab up with a screwdriver to unlock it, then loosen the bumper cover screws to be able to get 2 hands in there to attach the plug again. The gasket was rolled up inside the plug so i had to remove and reseat it. Before you bolt the valve back on, re attach the plug and push the grey tab back down to lock it.

Is there a " how to" on this as far removing the actuators from the exhaust?

It's held by 3 bolts from the back, see link above to the other thread. You can easily feel them and stick a racheting wrench in the gap to remove them. I wore gloves because of the sharp edges nearby, I think, of the exhaust shield.

Awesome, thanks! I thought so but wanted to make sure. I will have to do this, the noise is terrible and from both sides. I was so embarrassed leaving work yesterday, the noise/rattle is so damn loud. I have a 2020 3LT 1LE, it amazes me that this continues to be an issue.

So ive had two types of rattles, the normal rattling all the time and a weird intermittent buzzing that happens randomly. The only way I can describe the buzzing is like this, usually when im slowing down and the engine is at idle speed, it goes buzz, pause, buzz, pause, buzz. It's very pronounced and loud. The dealer replaced the actuator about 5k miles ago and it just started up again. Im curious if anyone else has dealt with this and if this TSB would fix that issue also? 2016 Camaro SS with NPP

That sounds much more like AFM valve squeaks when entering and exiting V4 mode. Could you check if the buzz correlates with these mode switches? You can see the current AFM mode in the instantaneous fuel economy info page, for example.

Just did it myself. Not sure if this has been mentioned in the thread before, but the bolts are 5/16" or 8 mm. I have both and either worked fine.

I also ended up doing it for both sides. Pretty sure my left side is fine, but heh, may as well do it in case it ends up rattling as well.

All of the information here is great. I purchased my 2017 2SS last year in July and this rattling has been driving me nuts. I am hoping to try this fix soon but was wondering if removing the tabs could be done with a small tool like a dremel or should I get a grinder and cut off wheel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
