Question for those 250lbs+
Quick question for us Xl men out there. Did my first track day in the 1le and quickly came to realize the seats cant hold me. Got a glimpse of it at an autoX event and it went full bore at the track day. Even with the seat belt ratcheted as tight as it could go without cutting off my ability to breath and the seat moved forward for added securement, I was still sliding in the seat like it was covered in ice. I'm not trying to continue to hold myself in place with my legs, so I'm wondering if a harness is the way to go?
What are you all doing to keep snug in the seat?? Or can we ever truly be snug in these seats??? |

Try wearing leather pants.
Everyone knows leather on leather don't slide. |

Or ... swap out for ZL1 seats. They hold 6’0” @ 240 pretty well.

I’m 6’2” 275, if anything I feel the Recaros did a surprising job of holding me in place...

~280 here, 6'2"
I do HPDE and had same issues. Panels popping off from my knees pushing I bought Krey Krause bar and 4 point and it helped dramatically. Seat can still go all the way back too |
