Ext mods done, and a pic history of my mods
So I thought I would put up my past Chevys because they influenced how I modded this car. We all have diff stages of "modding" that we go thru , some more outrageous that others. My 13SS was my first V8, so in retrospect, I went a bit too far, with hex vents, spoilers, blackouts etc, etc. I certainly would not do the 22's again, just too much for me....
Next was the 14 vette and this time was "no chrome mean looking without murdering the car." These wheels were my fav, but not spending 7 K again. So that brings us to the 6th gen, I bought a v-6 so I did not think I wanted to go all wild with spoilers and stuff, this car is more "clean luxury upscale" which means to me completely debadged, except for subtle bowties and no chrome on the grill, or anywhere. Black lugs coming. When I add the perf exhaust, I may black chrome the pipe tips. Mods include :20% tint, garnet bowties, RS and side badges removed, chrome grill strakes wrapped with flat black, tinted markers, body color splashguards. Detail: Megs 205 polish and Blackfire Crystal Seal. Enjoy!

Those River City Bowties look great!!
That is one hot Vet!! Mind if I ask why you switched? Black lugs on silver wheels, interesting. Have you thought about blacking out the bowtie on the center caps, I think that would go well with the black lugs.

good point on the center caps, lets see they look first with the black lugs..
LOVED the vette, 18K miles in two years, but the spinal problems I developed in my 40's, came to light as it sat too low for a DD...

Sorry to hear about you'er back! I can see the problem, vets can be a pain to get in and out of even without back issues. The gen6 isn't to bad of a switch off, I feel like this one is closer to a Vet than any of the past gens where that's for sure. It's probably a bit different for someone who actually had one tho heh

Looks very clean Glen. Definitely prefer what you have done with this one vs your 2013 SS.
I'm in the "subtle mods" camp. I like my cars to look clean and mostly stock.

A c7 is real nice, but using it as a daily driver And being retired you kinda come across as a retired guy fullfilling a boyhood fantasy. Being in the industry for 40 years I got to drive everything under the sun, on a lot of tracks across the world. So I really didn't have a fantasy of the Vette, I just liked the way it looked. but No one needs a vroom vroom super car to run around town as a DD, esp one that smacks your back. And I actually like the Camaros look better, certain aspects remind me of an Aston Martin, that's why I call it an "clean upscale Look." I think with the black chrome tips it'll look perfect .

Thanks, that's why I put a picture of the fifth Gen here, when I finished with that car, it was "wretched excess" , IMO, I learned my lesson that sometimes "less is more".

Same here, a few mods, love the stock clean look, that is why I ordered the options I wanted, so I already sortnof had it modded the way I wanted it to be!

Think I'm going to investigate some garnet bowties on the center caps as suggested above, using Lupe's service.

Looks awesome Glen! Except for the white Florida plate, that you can do nothing about.

Looks great. It looks a milllllion percent better without the tacky chrome strips in the grills.
