sunroof option

Considering a sunroof. Those who got it does it eliminate the dip in the roofline?

Yes it does. No reverse Mohawk with sunroof. One of the reasons we are not getting sunroof this time. Welcome to the forums.

I kind of like the texture of the reverse Mohawk. I'd like a sunroof but not sure about losing that shape.

I didn't get the sunroof because I didn't like how much head room you lost because of it. That and it doesn't open up enough to make it worthwhile to me.

I had a sunroof in my 14 1LE and that ended up being one of the main reasons I parted ways with it. I was always up against the ceiling. The 16 with no roof leaves me with plenty of head space. I also like the curvature of the roof without the sunroof option. I LOVE sunroofs but in these cars, they are too much of a hindrance IMO.

All the best,

It definitely looks better without a sunroof but I like driving with the sunroof open most of the time

Reverse mohawk is actually extremely aerodynamic. Why I wanted it and not the sunroof. Plus less weight.

So ask yourself the question... Do you want the (hardly noticeable) reverse Mohawk, or a nice source of air on those beautiful cruising days? No brainer for me - a coupe without a sunroof just isn't nearly as much fun as one with. Your choice.

I drove a 16 SS with a sunroof. Way more headroom than the 5th Gen. I'd actually consider it as an option but when I had one I didn't use it much. Like the reverse mo look.

Good point. Very torn for sure. Gonna see when the dealers start to get them more often.

I have a sunroof and I Love it , have it open ALOT even with Temps hitting 40° very nice, opens nice and doesn't give you that drone when the windows are up. Head room is the same with or without drove a 2ss without and no difference.

The camaro has a design where the windows are very reduced the sunroof gives you a breathing sensation, it gives you a pleasure that is priceless with a cup of coffee and a rural road

My sunroof is open at least 90% of the time. Even when it is cold I'll crank the heat and open the roof. And it isn't even an option on a Mustang.
