Question Tire Size Help

just wanted to know what is the max tire width that I can put on my 2018 Camaro 1LT with the RS wheels? Im running the stock setup that came with the car but could go for a little bit more meat. Pause.

If 18" wheels (18x8.5), max recommended by most tire manufacturers is a 255.

If 20" wheels (20x9.5 rear), max recommended by most tire manufacturers is a 285.

These may go up or down a hair depending on the aspect ratio that you choose.

I have 20" wheels, they are actually the ones on the camaro6 logo on the top left for reference and are both wheels the same?

If they're the standard RS wheels (RQ9), I believe they're 20x8.5" front and rear. So, you're limited to a 255 wide tire, per most manufacturers recommendations.

That logo changes nearly every time the page refreshes, so not sure exactly which wheels although I assume they're the SS split spokes based on your package. But, either of the SS 20" wheels (5-spoke or split spoke) have the same dimensions, 8.5x20 up front and 9.5x20 on the rear, so Jerome's post is still valid for the front and rear.

Yeah they are the Split spoke ones so I think they are the exact on the front and back

For winter wheels/tires, you don't want wider...

Oh yeah I read about that. Are you able to fit the same tires on both lt and ss models? or is the SS built a little bit different with more room for wider tires

They can fit mostly the same size wheels and tires.
