2023 SS 1LE Satin Wrap
All,
Any fine upstanding Camaro owners help with the attached pix? Had a cat skiing on my hood. How do I smooth these claw marks out. They are not deep. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

You'll have to replace the vinyl wrap. A shop may charge $400-500 but it's maybe $50 worth of materials and a couple hours time. It does take some skill, but it's not that difficult. You'll also want to be in a garage with temps in between 70-80 degrees to make it easier. There's A LOT of YT instructional vids on the subject.
I just did my car, after 5 years there were some flaws from removing tree sap, etc. I did a flip color that is satin black from the front of the car but gradually turns deep red metallic as you move off axis. It was $100 for the material, so if you get something and don't like it, it's not a huge loss. It's impossible to really show in one photo, but here's one anyways. I also installed some more functional hood vents at the same time.

Try to rub hard with detail spray and then hit it with adams VRT. I had good luck with a shoe print on mine.

Years ago, on black cars we'd use black shoe polish on them. Got them really glossy and hid the scratches. Maybe you could try to do the same with a Q-tip in the scratches???
I use Adams Matte Detailer Spray. Seems to help a little on my hood. https://adamspolishes.com/products/a...matte-detailer |

Some "time in the sun" also seemed to help diminish scuffing I picked up on the aftermarket 3M satin black wrap that I had on the hood of my 2016 LT. Not sure if your scratches are deeper than what I had to deal with though. I also regularly used the Adams Matte Detailer after every wash - great product! While it was not an immediate fix for the scuffs, it may have been part of the equation that helped the scuffing diminish over time.

The VRT definitely hides far more than the matte detailer
