Toohighpsi Port Injection on Ported LT4 Blower or Magnuson 2650?

As title states, what would the best be to put the Toohighpsi port injection on? Not looking to do heads/cam or meth but want to run full e85 on my ZL1. Conflicted between 2650 or kong x-port. I know the 2650 will have better cooling, but will I take for advantage of it since I'm not doing heads/cam? It seems like the Kong X-Port will have the better power band.

How is longevity with ported blowers? I know with the 2650 I wouldn't have to worry about longevity as much.

Looking to make around 750-800whp with bolt-ons and Toohighpsi.

I think an X-Port 1.7, pulley'd-up, might be able to match a 2650-only combination in power, on full E', but haven't noticed that combination yet. That would be interesting. You'll probably need a low-side, too. There's only speculation on ported blowers from what I've noticed, so far, but from where a lot of the extra porting comes from, it makes sense you might be giving up some strength in the case. Though - the allow and casting process in the 1.7 seems different than that of my 2650. It seems like the 1.7 weighs close to as much as the 1.7, so I kind of think it's a denser alloy, so maybe it's also stronger?... Just speculation on my part. I don't see mainstream companies porting 1.7s as far as X-ports go, so there could be a reason behind that.

I liked the 2650 for the reasons you already posted, and I needed CARB-certification. It would be interesting to see results if you went X-Port and full E' with THPSI Plates. You should reach out to Mike at THPSI. He has some experience with his Z06, his plates, and the 1.7.

Radz and I both run the TooHighPsi with Magnuson blowers, I've had my port injection for almost a year and just can't beat it. Mines actually a 2300 and made 707 rwhp and 669 rwtq on E65, stock Lt1 fuel system, Rotofab CAI and totally stock Lt1, stock unlocked A10 and suspension. We've run 9.80@142.96 at 3850 lbs. I've had a 2650 also on my 16ss and it made 850 on race fuel. If Mike had this kit out then it would have been awesome. Personally I'd do the 2650 at that HP your looking for, you can also make good power with the Lt4 also. Mike (THPSI) took his 2650 off for another project on his Z06 and now has a non ported Lt4 SC back on the car with his Port Injection. He really likes the setup and you really don't need to port the blower in my opinion to make 750 with the port injection, I could make that if I had forged pistons and rods but still have the stock Lt1 pistons and don't want to push them past the 11 psi of boost I'm running. Good luck on your decision. Just do your homework it will all work out.

I'm currently running my Z06 all stock with 1740 except:
22% lower
GM Airbox
Port on full E85
Butt dyno says about 700 RWHP - I'll try to get it on the dyno soon for a real number.

Just depends on where you want to go power wise.
For low boost <15psi I think the 1740 is a fair solution, but I still prefer the endless pull of the 2650 - it just never gives up as the RPM is climbing up to redline.
With the 2650 on full E85 there is no real need to port heads or change cam until you are bumping 1K RWHP.

I totally agree, the 2650 never quits and loved mine on my 16SS. It's a beast for its size and I wish I had one on my 2022 LT1, my 2300 does a great job but it's not close to the 2650, when I went from my 2300 to 2650 on the 16ss, we gained 85 rwhp with just small changes to the tune and went from running 10.00@139 to 9.41@147 on less boost and no other changes except the blower swap.

The 2650 is awesome, and I may (deciding still) be posting mine for sale, with the Nick Williams 103mm throttle body, AND, new TooHighPSI port plates and injectors (no controller). I'm looking at a new build and that would inspire me to sell the maggy.

I'm going to end up doing Port Injection on the stock unported blower with a 15% lower, rotofab, and headers. Decided I just want to run full e85 and make close to 700whp without porting the blower.

Mike that owns THPSI is running the identical setup on his C7 Z06, he did have a 2650 but wanted to use it on another project in his shop. He really likes the results and you should easily see the number your looking and love it. Your build is similar to mine but I have a 2300 Maggie and we made 707 at the wheels, ran 9.80@142.96. I highly recommend you pick up a set of Nitto drag radial for the street, I run a 305 35 20 555 R2. Your going to need them because you won't believe how the port injection running E85 will wake your car up. It's a serious mod, go get ya some.
