Here ya go… if I remember correctly, it took about 1.2 - 1.3 quarts to fill my ZL1 convertible.

The ZL1 rear diff fluid is the same as the ZL1 1LE and SS 1LE. As shown above: 10-4034

Looking that part number up I can't tell if it has the Limited Slip modifier in it or not.

By label alone, it appears to be the same stuff I put in my diff without the LS additive:

It doesn't say anything about it being for Limited Slip.

New part numbers...

88900401 lubricant

88900330 additive

You'll need 2 bottles of the lubricant and 1 of the additive

Why does this simple task have to be confusing? Even posted here there are some different answers. The darn owners manual and high performance manual does not list the recommended fluid. Indicates see the dealer.

Task is confusing because GM recommends the wrong fluid if you go to them.
At least in Canada they do. Not sure if its the same for USA.

Both ELSD and LSD use the 10-4034 fluid with friction modifier.

I just did the 10-4034 fluid change on the 2023

Next change will get the new synthetic fluid +FM

hard to keep up with the spec changes

ETA: did a search for fluid on a 2022
are they are phasing out the 10-4034 for the synthetic ??
