Thanks for the concern mate, Yeah it's the Fiftieth Anniversary Edition, the LT1 isn't banned, however, the SS badging is banned (Germans WW2) and the front fog lights and splitter aren't used on the Euro version.

Since only one corner got it (vs direct rear hit in my case), hopefully it will be OK. Glad you are not injured, though!

Thank you, appreciate it!

You -might- be able to argue that the value of that car exceeds what the 'book' shows given that it's rare and literally irreplaceable (it's a 50th anniversary edition). But, at the same time, you also might need to be carrying special insurance if it's something you would want to argue is collectible.

I'd see what the initial costs and determination come back at and go from there. Consider talking to an attorney that has some experience with preventing cars from being totaled out if necessary.

I know that the thread’s old; I just wanted to say that I’m glad that the OP is alright. I would suggest everyone get a lawyer that they can afford. Someday it’s going to save you lots of money. I usually opt for 4injured.com or something like that. Maybe it’s excessive, but I still would suggest thinking about that. Hope that everything ended well, OP, and you’ve managed to find a good repair shop.
