Speed Engineering headers guy come in

Well after going back and fourth several times on TSP LT’s & SE LT’s headers I’ve picked SE. With that being said I have a couple questions for you guys to answer before I place my order today. When you make your purchase it gives you options for your order. My order would be LT headers with the off road connections (basically fake cats), gaskets (maybe) and o2 extensions.

1. I heard I could just reuse my current stock exhaust manifold gaskets....is the true? 51k mileage on these guys original 2011 GM gaskets on my car now.

2. SE offers 2 gasket options paper=hell no and GM multi layer steel gaskets with hardware for an extra $30. Skip or buy? I’ve heard some stuff about the hardware so I was considering ARP bolts or reuse stock manifold hardware. I’m unsure so I need to know.

3. O2 extensions I know I need these $40

1-7/8” LT’s part# 25-1017 $284.98
GM steel multi layer gaskets/hardware $30
O2 extensions $40
Total= $354.98

I just want to make sure I’m spending money right if there’s no need to buy SE gaskets that $30 could be used elsewhere because ever dollar matters thanks.

For the money I would get new gaskets. Cause then if you spring a leak you’re doing the labor twice. Every dollar matters you say, but to me time is also money. Rather spend an extra 30 bucks and not risk an hour more of work down the road

Sounds good and I’m not that critical about the money situation I just rather not have to do things over and over for labor or purchase. Trying to Research things thoroughly to buy once. I played that game with an used Borla touring axel back that I didn’t like but I sold it for profit. I have solo performance Mach xl catback with j-pipes so these LT’s should get my sound bug and performance up

I just ordered the complete kit it was cheap so why not. Now if anvil auto can stop taking forever on carbon fiber I can maybe get the look I want before summer is over.

I haven’t done that yet. You guys have a good source to recommend? Picked up some lift pads and sct x 4 from Dyno Steve as well.

Got mine from canadian tire. 15 bucks each. Any 3" × 3" stainless band clamp will work fine. I ended up replacing all 4 because the factory 2.5" clamp bolts were no good.

Right on fellas. I’m gonna be a happy guy soon. Since I just ordered a few things I bet my work schedule is going to go nuts and I won’t have time for car stuff. Murphy’s Law I just know it. I can buy those clamps local

Get ready for some fun! I have LT’s with cats and Solo Mach XL Catback. Here’s some post tube fun for a general idea of what yours will sound like:

I didn't need the extensions, the clamps do suck, and I reused the GM gaskets for around 25,000 miles before I eventually had to trade her in. Enjoy! I really enjoyed those headers, great value for what you got.
