The chrome part pops off so it would be pretty easy to paint it black. The flow tie hole is real so there will be no “taking it off”. The factory front plate holder butts up below the crossbar so it doesn’t cover it.

I saw a 2019 SS for the first time at a wedding reception party last. It was a rental so the guy didn’t mind my examining it closely.

Ok, i hear what everyone is saying about blacking out or removing the flow tie, but what about the cliff you can go diving off of right above the flow tie. From a straight on view moving the flow tie up seems to be the one thing it needs. Then you see that huge flat bumper lip right above the flow tie and its just not good. i wanted the 19 to look good so i could get away from this A8 but no matter how hard i try to like it, it just hasn't grown on me yet

Just move your front license plate on the bracket to block the flow-tie....

The flow-tie...Gimme a break...all the hyped performance-adding air flow shot to hell by the front plate...I wish the manufacturers would make known the cfm air loss from having legally required front license plates. They seem to think the flow-tie is a plus...lol...What happens with a front plate?...lol

Agreed w/ 90503 If the flow tie was so critical for extra airflow the design was flawed from the start

The testing on the original flowtie showed that it added a small but significant amount of cooling air. I don’t know about testing of the ‘19s, but any additional hole in the front end should increase airflow.

I doubt guys will run on the track with the front plate. Regardless, I agree the flow tie is a gimmick.

Note the difference in front area. The fake upper grill in the GT350 looks hokey

That front end picture of the 1LE in Shadow gray is awesome.

Dang, we live in NE MS and that red Mustang GT 350 front end looks just like a catfish! People are buying this? It makes the '19 SS look great!

If we think a bit, in the previous model with the thinner upper grill and without flowtie, having the front plate on, there would be less air for the engine. in comparison the Refresh gets more air for the engine because both upper and lower grills are larger and bigger than in the Pre-Refresh and apart has the Flowtie even though they mount a plate, so I do not see it as a failure from the start.

If the bumper weren’t like a ledge and had some character, just moving the flowtie doesn’t fix it

No contest imo. The GT350 F end does look goofy in comparison.
