I made a post about this in the v6 section a few months back...

Probably worth a couple tenths if you have good traction.

I'd be willing to sell my stock diff if you don't have to have a limited slip and just want it for the gear factor. 8k miles on it

What's that number you have in mind? Last time I guessed a 13.7x, seemed like people were scoffing that lol I usually guess pretty conservatively, but I'm really HOPING for a 12.7x, but to come all the way from my 13.40 run with so little changes to the car might be a pipe dream...

I'd like to see a 12.5x or better. I think you can do it.

I'd like to see that too. But no way it will do it. Need more mods for that

Mid 12 maybe, if he had some serious slicks, prepared track, and come out the hole at 20psi.

LKQ Is a national chain of salvage yards that I have dealt with for many years in many states. They have a national locator system that would be a option to try and locate these parts for anyone else who would like to do this.

Nice! That's like the first one I've seen that was a smoking burnout and not just a little chirp chirp chirp.

Yes, I've bought several things, engines, etc from LKQ in the past few years... Unfortunately at the time, they didn't have these parts available. Litterally been watching them for a year... But as time goes on, these parts will be much easier to find.

Diff swap! (Installing an LSD manual trans differential into an Auto trans car)

I was asked to post part numbers for the parts needed for the LSD diff swap... I've listed the part numbers with the gm list price below

22972607, Axle, Manual Trans, Right $292.89

22972606, Axle, Manual Trans, Left $292.89

84080676, Carrier, LT series, Manual Trans $1952.86

Of course, I wouldn't suggest you buy new unless you have money to blow, take your time and get the parts from a wrecking yard or eBay as they become available and save your self some cash. I paid $595 shipped to my door.

I did the burnout in second gear. Hence the slow start, but it allows you to turn the tires at a higher speed (to get them hotter quicker at the track, and as a side effect also produces more smoke).
