The bright side, at night it looks great and integrated into the OEM lights, interestingly it takes the same channel as the top section of lights on the doors and radio. I’m sure another wire is meant for the bottom section/cupholder. Fairly certain all it would take is some similar gauge wire and extra LED’s from a donor which I have somewhere to get even more lighting but we’ll see if I ever go under the dash again

Let me echo these sentiments. When I installed this kit, I swore to never lie again in the passenger footwell upside down, head deep into the footwell and legs on the seatback, trying to reinstall the two rear bolts, grrr. However, the kit definitely adds a lot to the interior ambience, it was worth the pain.

The fear’s there, it took me two hours but two days later I’ve still got a slight crook to my back

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
100% the longest thing it took, I got one screw in and then the other three would not go in or I couldn’t feel around to find them. Then I also realized one of my main harness wires was in front of the AC ducts causing the whole bottom cover to not be flush which I realized after many attempts

Also I found I could just push the other end of the two pins holding in the glove box after failing to pry them out like the Gen5DIY and many videos said to, got them both out within a minute while my prying attempt took almost 10 minutes

Too many positions in order to fit even one hand, a few times I thought I actually was stuck and had a mini panic but thankfully got out. The frustrating times were when I had the flashlight just right, my position was perfect to see or feel the screw, and the screw or socket was in reach but at my position I could not get it so completely out I went and restarted

But I have to agree, the nighttime ambience is much nicer with the kit, glad I did it but doubt I’ll go back down there again

I ordered the gear shift emblem but they sent the wrong one...

Other than that, installed the door striker covers, changed my rear diff fluid, and cleaned the engine bay a bit.

I'm SHOCKED by how good your car looks.

Seriously, nice job. I've been thinking about having my mirrors painted Mosaic Black to match the other Mosaic Black trim on the car.

Finally installed the the 1LE v2 (84486681) front splitter on my 1SS Sunday afternoon.

On a minor install note, also installed an all metal ODBII port lock and the fob operated circuit cutoff. I'll skip the details of that though..

Oh, you may notice in the pics that 1 set of the 2x4 wheel blocks has 5 tiers and the other 6. My jack could not clear the 6 by a 1/4 inch, so I took it down to 5. I ended up making all four that I built 5 teirs afterward , as that seems enough for my needs.

That 1LE splitter really sets the car off very nice.

Bought some Satin Pearl White and made some stripes. Not sure I how I feel about them yet, or whether I’ll do part of the trunk too. Either way, it wasn’t a bad way to spend a couple hours.

What if you went with some dark charcoal gray stripes, I think it would look great and much less "in your face" but yet a "subtle strong look"...

We’re on the same page I already ordered charcoal gray (as a back up plan) If the sun ever decides to shine around here, I’ll get a better idea if the white is too much for me.

It does. I replaced my ZL1 rear spoiler in Summit White with a Mosaic black ZL1 spoiler. Looks so much better and is a perfect match to the other Mosaic black trim on the ZL1.
