Yes, the wrong part showed up. However, the part number doesnt match the diagram my parts guy and I were looking at. I have to go back tomorrow and show him. I think its an error on GM. They shipped me a Backup Camera.

It needs to have a FAKRA Blue cable end. Im working on it though. Here it is in the new Silverado, so its used in more than one application.

Correct it is used in more then one model. So far it seems you have to buy that whole high mount brake light then strip the camera out of it. Same as the spoiler. Doesn’t seem the camera can be purchased by itself. The 2019 Blazer also have it.

What's the part number on that shark antena?

Does it have the BLUE FAKRA connector? I have this part coming. It's a $180 third brake light. Shows in the picture a BLUE connector, so hopefully it's right this time.

I ordered 2x 20' FAKRA extenion cables off of AMAZON and tested them. Worked perfectly.

That one should definitely work. The cams ive heard confirmed usable are those and of course the ones in the 2019 spoilers. You can get the whole spoiler with camera for about $170-$190 currently. The part# of shark fin cam is 84790625. My journey was to find just the camera at lower cost since i wouldn’t be swapping to ss spoiler due to my rs not having the same hole pattern.

But does that Sharl Fin have the BLUE FAKRA? I see a CURRY one in your pic. They are color coded for signal transfer.

Its 3 connections. 2 are same connections as original antenna.(thats the curry wire you see.)Third wire is camera which the connector is black. Installed the fin last night and everything is working. It was a pita to get the antenna out. Mostly because of the room available even with the seat down.

the only connectors that are blue are on the transfer cable like the 20 footer you posted. Which is just like in the trunk picture you posted. Previously I purchased a camera that had a blue plastic band on the connector like i posted on previous pictures but that camera didn’t work at all with the mirror( not sure if the camera was bad or not.)

That's awesome, I might just have to try it myself this spring.

Maybe you could eventually write up a short DIY/how to, to help the rest of us out.

Looks good. Ive got my wire ran to the front of the car. Waiting for the camera to show up. Have some fitting and molding to do, but hope to have the front camera done in a week or so. You can seenthe FAKRA cable hanging over the front white crash bar.

What would be cool is if we could wire up a front and rear cam and have a switch.

Ive found FAKRA to SMA Connectors, but not any kind of coaxial switch. My camera arrived and it was correct. I've already drilled a hole in the crash bar, installed a grommet, and ran the wire through. Still working on a camera enclosure for the underside of the crash bar trim cover.
