Auto Headlamp

“To turn off the automatic headlamp system, turn the exterior lamps switch to the P position and then release. For vehicles first sold in Canada, the transmission must be in P (Park), before the automatic headlamp system can be turned off.” |

Pretty sure there’s no way to turn the lights off at night while driving. Think GM did this so there aren’t any of their vehicles being phantom cars during the night

Mine turns off when you toggle the switch to off. Toggle it again to turn back on.
However car automatically turns it back on when you restart the car.

You'd have to pull the fuse or hack the light sensor. My car does this too. The 2017 Cruze I rented last year did the same thing. I think GM did it across the line for Canada-delivered vehicles.

If it's the same as every other GM I've done it to, a 1/2 watt, 1000ohm resistor on a couple of the light sensor wires tell the car it's always daylight. But you may lose some dimming functionality.
The only other way is BCM tuning, unless you want to rewire the circuit. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |
