I can attest to the finger crushing and the four letter word galore. The new rubber is very rigid, so using dish soap may be a great idea after all.

Finally got the holes filled from the front bracket that was put on there from the Illinois dealer that my dealer did a dealer trade with. I am very happy with the turnout.

Looking good! I did the same. Ice your thumbs up. It was a pain getting that brake pedal on...

Thanks My dealer gave me the option of not accepting it after they found out during the dealer trade that the Illinois dealer they got my car from put it on. Because this was the only car with the color and options I wanted on it I told them to continue with the trade anyway and they brought it back to KC. |

I ordered my 2020 2SS, so I was very explicit in the instructions to them... They told me "We NEVER install the front plate on Camaro's or Corvette's, we let the owners do that"... and this is in California!... They knew better (and this dealer sold VERY few Camaros (Carlsbad is FAAAAAAR more likely to sell BWM's and Mercedes... )

Yeah they are a good dealer Covid caused a lot of delays but after a year having my Camaro now I am really happy with it and the dealer that I bought it from. I will be a repeat customer for them.

Had some free time today
1) Installed a more aggressive, better looking diffuser; 2) Painted the suitcase muffler black (or rather dark gray, no thanks to Rustoleum for misrepresenting the color—maybe I need to bake the paint on to make it darker, who knows); 3) Applied the trusty old ziptie panel gap fix, so now rear bumper gaps are perfect. After seeing the rear end "naked", the GM TSB felt even more sketchy, I didn't want to remove the giant aluminum impact bar that seems to be attached precisely anyway. Now on to the lessons learned: - Despite what some youtube clips claim, the factory diffuser cannot be removed without damage if one leaves the bumper on the car, unless one knows exactly where each clip is and has wiry hands to undo them blind behind the impact bar and is a contortionist who can remove the two hidden 7mm bolts - As a pleasant surprise, fitment with this relatively cheap diffuser is 99.5%, there is a tiny gap in one corner, but it's invisible unless one is looking for it with an LED flashlight, and the OEM diffuser wasn't a full 100% perfect fit either - Bumper refitting/reinstallation is a two man job, there is no way a single person can pull that off (heh) without damaging or scratching up something, however, it only takes 10 seconds for two people; thankfully, my neighbor was very helpful.

I created a phone holder that keeps it handy and prevents stress on the connector.

Need details please, tired of laying my phone next to the shifter and having it end up in the passenger seat every time I have a little fun!
