Ported vs New Heads

Looking for a little advice from the tech guys. Current set up is in my sig. below. What type of gains would I see by porting my stock heads vs upgrading them to aftermarket? Also, would keeping my current cam be a bad idea if I was to go ported or aftermarket? I have searched around and did not see a great answer to gains on head work. Thanks in advance for the help!

Aftermarket heads flow similar to ported stock but with a stock sized port. The effeciency is were the aftermarket heads shine.

Pat G should be able to point you in the right direction, but Reher Morrison here in DFW has a CNC program for the LS3 heads that pick up 25-35hp and you could mill yours to bump up compression with that small cam without having PTV clearance issues or run a thinner head gasket.

Ill be going turbo so if you want to save some cash ill be selling my LPE cnc'd and ported heads soon. They are milled to 65cc's so your compression will be a perfect 11-1 using GM Mls gaskets. The heads will include comp 26925 springs with 1500 miles on them. They also habe the hollow Ls3 intake and have the inconel exhaust valves.

Let me know.
