An increase of volume without increasing bearing clearances will increase pressure, all things being equal.

Little is correct.

The stock pump is fine if dissasembled and deburred and blueprinted, especially the pressure relief valve bore, so it is a matter of the melling HV or blueprint the stock one. I preffer the melling.
