gen 5 camaro engines are more friendly to mod and take better to boost than gen 6 camaro with all the DI crap. If you like the idea of strapping on boost for REAL power gen 5 plays nicer and is easier to work on.

19/20 ZL1 without the 1le aero is the best looking imo for gen 6. Not enough to sell off and build something to overpower the experience my current 5th gen provides, but those are the only ones that look good to me.

Yep...if its not 1le or zl1 the plain SS has no real look to it. The body lines look like alot of other cars on the road.

I always thought the 5th gen were to bulky and hefty looking and never considered one. Would of probably picked up a Challenger or something if I wanted a boat. Love the 6th gen (have a 2021 ZL1) and think they look sleek and sexy. I also loved the 3rd gen camaros of which I had 2, still want a 1st gen, and always wanted a 4th gen but was to poor back when they were out for one lol

The other half calls it “the tank”. It looks like you could drive it through a wall and walk away from it. She likes that. Of all the comments I get on my 5 gen...it’s not “bulky”.

You have the only style 6th gen that looks good. Without the zl1 trim the 6th gen body lines look like everything else on the road. As mentioned before the 5th gen is the last Camaro that will look like a musclecar.

well it was a sad day and a happy day last wednesday
i traded my beautiful pristine low milage 2012 2ss camaro for a 2017 2ss.
now i love the gen5 camaros. always have and always will.
now having owned 2 in my time.
i stepped straight out of my 2012 into the 2017.
OMG
what a car. every single thing is on another level.
the power
the torque
the throttle response
the interior is amazing.
the magnetic ride suspension is mind blowing. now i tested this on roads i know like the back of my hand ok. i never moved at all in my seat. no other car has made this bumpy road so effortless.
the active exhaust and magneride alone make trading up the right thing to do.
these new camaros are quite simply sensational cars. and lads having driven over 3 million miles in cars and bikes i know if a car is any good or not.
another thing..these gen6 camaros just dont white line at all. rock solid on every road i tested.
plus about 28 mpg on a motorway..that's european gallons.
lads if you got the cash and want an amazing car then go for it..no car has ever delighted me as much as this beauty has

oh yes. oh yes. jumping straight out of my gen5 into my gen6 was an omg moment.
amazing car to drive. if you care as much as i do about how a car behaves on the road then buy one. you will not regret it

But from the comparison 6 gen. has only one advantage for me ....lower weight.

- Faster 0-60? - Basic modes on 5 gen. and everything is different.
- Higher top speed? - give me 5 min with SCT-X4 and 5 gen. will be faster.
- Faster 1/4 mile? The question of modes. Cam, intake, exhaust.. and bye bye.
- Faster in slalom? Less weight, less centrifugal force.
- Higher side G in Skidpad? Same as previous "advantage"
- Shorter braking distance? Less weight again - less centripetal force.

And we will not lie. The main thing we evaluate is appearance.
Admit who would buy this, for example, even if it surpasses in all respects ... future 10 generation of Camaro

the whole car is on another level in everyway.
i used to get some compliments in my gen5. in my new one everyone is open mouthed when i drive through town.
like i said just the magneride and acvtive exhaust alone is worth the trade up for.
go find one and test drive it. you step out of your gen5 into one you'll think your driving an audi or bmw.
tight car in everyway.and way way better on fuel.amazingly better. gen5 14mpg
gen6 at least 25mpg.
way cheaper to run.
and boy the 8 speed auto changes gear lightning quick. on the upshifts with the exhaust in track mode is pops like crazy.
DAMN THEY ARE SENSATIONL CARS TO OWN AND DRIVE

I agree that the car is on a different level.
No doubt about it.

I saw him and rode with him.
6 gen. not a bad car.
But it is small- 5 gen. is a mastodon, tons of electronics,
and the spirit of Camaro has completely disappeared.
In my opinion, this car is empty, sterile and without emotions.

Maybe if I drove 6 genes. with a manual transmission, so I would not be so disappointed. But riding with this Camaro and automatic transmission gave me the impression "sit down, do nothing so that you don't mess it up, I'd rather do it myself".
So in a moment I got bored behind the wheel.

Believe me, I really enjoyed going back to my 2010 which has a hydraulic power steering, a mechanical handbrake and an LS7 clutch as stiff as a week old bread.
And every time I turn the key and the engine starts, as if to tell me "show me what are you driver buddy".
Simply old good spirit of Camaro.

And fuel consumption ...?
I have two Camaro and neither is a daily driver.
I have cars for fun. Consumption is irrelevant for me.

Of course someone can love the 6 gen. and that's fine too.

But unfortunately this is not my case

yeah i aggree. i loved the two gen5 camaros i had.
i fancied a newer car before i retire and wont be able to afford one. got to get this out my system while i can.
one other huge difference is the road holding . no matter how bad the roads it's just so solid.
white lining or tramlining days are over. this car tracks like a train. roads i know well would cause trouble with my gen5 this bad boy sails over them.
no chassis flex at all. still blown away how good this car is.

As already written.
The Camaro 6 is clearly at a higher level and MagneRide is definitely an amazing thing.

But how did you self wrote ... "you'll think your driving an audi or bmw".
Camaro is no longer here. And I don't want that.

This will lift my adrenaline and speed up my heartbeat!

But definitely not BMW or Audi.

But I speak for myself. I do not force my opinion on anyone

your beautiful camaro must turn a lot of heads in your country dude.
here in sweden they do for sure.
i love everything about owning a muscle car here. the whole thing is so exciting.
seeing small kids pointing and saying to their parents look mama pappa.
owning our cars is an experience every time you step in them. unlike all the boring audis bmw's and mercs there are here.
i would never ever own one of those things.
plus muscla cars here lose no value. have them for a few years and recoup your cash easily

Thanks for the compliment. I just enjoy that car.
And what you enjoy it just flourishes.
It is true that there is not much Camaro here. There are more Mustangs.
But to be honest, I prefer to ride with 2 gen.
I've had it for 18 years and it fits me better

Otherwise, you're right about those kids.
I was trying out a throttle body controller today and I met a little boy who was so excited about my car that I had to ride him at least around the block
