Tail light comparison on black cars

Can't deceide if I should buy the GM dark tail lights, or the nexgenspeed smoked sequential tail lights?
Looking for pictures on black Camaros.

I debated the same for a long time, since I bought the car. I concluded that I definitely don't like the clear dark/smoked tail lights on my car. I like the red tail lights and if I decide to go sequential, I will buy the VLAND ones. Great price and they seem to work with no issues.

I'm with MakCamaro, at least on dark colored cars. Definitely prefer the red. On a bright car, red, Garnet, yellow, orange, shock....I like the smoke, but on the darker color cars, I much prefer the red. Obviously just an opinion.

...regardless of color, I think factory GM is far and away the best looking tail light out there. I think the others all look cheap.

I agree with Abubaca and MakCamaro. Zero color contrast works, but then you have to make everything pitch black, which isn't for everyone. A little red on that black booty looks much better in my opinion. Check out this thread from Gary H for pictures: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=556282, he went with dark aftermarket taillights eventually, so you'll see before and after.

No personal experience with these 3rd party taillights on my car(s), but judging from what everything else I do have and/or tried, OEM is best in terms of quality and reliability. For example, I'm on the second Diode Dynamics side marker on the front driver side and now it broke as well, despite its good reputation. Not a fan of sequential lights either (and don't even get me started on that new flashing 3rd brake light trend).

Thanks, I know Gary's car, I like his Helix lights too.
Hope my Diode Dynamics last longer...

TBH, I am not sure I like sequential tail lights any more... But I definitely only like the red ones on my car.
