So I called finance manager and he told me "generally" they would sell an extended warranty on cash deal. I called bullshit to and told him I would look elsewhere. So I called another dealership and they laughed and said "that guy is an idiot. Warranty is warranty even if you pay in pennies. Lol. Worked out a deal over the phone and go pick up my 2019 Red Hot ZL1 on Saturday!!

Dealers try to get you to finance because that's they make additional money. My dealer wanted me to pay $2K more for paying in cash. Find another dealer.

I recall GM having promo where you got $$ off for financing.. smart move if you plan to pay off before title gets to you. Some will even tell you to "wait a few months so title does not get lost".


So much dishonesty is car buying process. It's time has come for overhaul.

What a load of crap, gm doesn’t care how you pay for the car in order to issue a warranty. The dealers make more through financing it, but seriously what a terrible way to lose a customer with a flat out lie

One Chevy dealer I walked out of told me I HAD to sign on a credit application because "that was the only way they can get my information". This was 5 minutes after they copied my license. I told them they were shady(with a few more words) before I left. They called me back a few days later asking if I still wanted the car m I called them out for a scam and they doubled down rather than admit they are liars
