GEN 5 to GEN 6 vert

Just traded my 2015 2SS vert for a 2017 1SS vert that was sitting at a local dealer. $23,998. LOVE IT!!!

What are most notable differences you see?

SMALLER! I’m a big guy at 6’2” and 300 but I love the handling and power. The pedals are further away but the door opening is tight. Not easy to get out of!

The topic is not new but never gets old. Going from Gen5 to Gen6:
Cons: less interior storage, no cancel button for cruise control (when equipped with heated steering wheel), heated seats not as hot, front seats don't recline as much, less backseat legroom, less trunk room
Pros: everything else, including power, handling, instrumentation/technology

In my case, the cons are not an issue. Kids are out of the house, I'm retired, and I live in CA. I'm the only driver and it's not my DD.

Your avatar is hilarious. I had a roommate who bought a new Scirocco and I thought it was really cool and fun to drive. Later, I bought a used 79 Rabbit and then in 1984, traded it for a new GTI. Sticker was $10,300. You never see these cars anymore due to major problems like electrical and CV joints. Found a used 84 cab for the wife in 86. What a nightmare!

It’s funny seeing you guys say there isn’t much room. I have been driving a Vette the past week or two and when I got back in the Camaro I was thinking, “so roomy.”

I think the same thing when I jump in my Chevy Silverado. Love my gen 6 but it is certainly smaller than the gen 5.
