C7 Carbon Side Skirts

Hey guys. Anyone have experience with the C7 carbon side skirts on their 1LE? I was thinking about pulling the trigger here soon but was curious on their fit and finish for the cost

Anyone go with the Carbon fiber ones over the Satin black? Pics? Not sure what ones would looks best on the hyper blue

I have them. I got them in “1LE Satin”. I can tell you that the fit of the side skirts are on point. However, their finish leaves a lot to be desired. It’s a very rough texture and doesn’t match our satin very well. A quick wrap would likely solve that issue, however.

So in this case I would be better off just getting the unpainted fiberglass version and then get it wrapped in Satin Black?

I don’t think that’s a bad idea at all, honestly.

That was my thoughts also. Either get some already done in Satin Black and then get Xpel Stealth on them like I did my whole car. Or, get some in just primer, wrap it in Satin Black, then do Xpel Stealth. Both will cost similiar I assume. But if the one from C7 doesnt match or has a rough feel to it, then it sounds like I should get the non painted one.

However, the carbon fiber one does look glossy and smooth because that is essentially a wrap as well. So I could get that, then Xpel clear wrap it.

Don’t do it they are terribly painted . Me and a friend ordered them and returned both sets and went with ACS. They are perfect match and paint is as close to stock pieces as you can get. Cost more but worth it.

So only some people complain about quality on these? They look pretty good to me!

I have a pair - seem built well, but as stated above the "1LE Satin" finish leaves a little to be desired. My is a close match on color, but the "sheen" is off vs the mirrors, hood and splitter.

I wanted the rock protection so I am happy with the results

Just don't be in too big of a hurry - I was given three weeks as a ETA when I was ordering, turned out to be six when it was all said and done

Do the acs ones require holes to be drilled on the bottom and the lower angled section of the rocker panel like the c7 carbons or just the bottom? I'd prefer some where only the bottom part needs holes drilled.

You can attach them with just the bottom ones, but if you accidentally put your foot on the skirt when you get out, you're going to want the angled rivets installed.
