Is this the same turbo on ZZP website for 1999.00
SKU: ZZ-ZFR-LTG or is this a different model ZZP's Z54 Turbo (LNF)? Sorry just a little confused Thanks, -BN |

The Z54 turbo is different than the ZFR, and is more of a middle ground between our stock turbo and the ZFR as far as power capabilities and price. For the LNF, the Z54 comes in at $1200 instead of the $2K the ZFR is at, and I believe is the same sized wheels at 67/58. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the ZFR is dual ball bearing and has lighter titanium alloy wheels, while the Z54 has journal bearings and cheaper wheels (cast?). Basically just a more budget version of the ZFR. However, ZZP mentioned recently that they will be developing the Z54 for our cars, which will be a fantastic upgrade for the price that will make your stock components reach their limits before the turbo is at it's peak.

Now would the Z54 tune be free of charge if we already have a zzp tune I wonder?

I wouldn't think it would be free. I think it would be whatever they charge for a retune, which is $150 if I recall. That is still a SMOKING deal if it's retuned for $150.
