As a two vert owner I can tell you that the OEM tires aren’t really any louder than any other tire with the top down at highway speed. The spousal unit has some 55 sidewall Bridgestone serenity plus on her solara vert and it’s not much quieter. But on that car all you hear is tires and wind... no exhaust or engine, so the tires sound relatively louder.

If you want your Z to be louder than mustangs and challengers, throw on a Borla atak axle-back or Stainless works or one of the other brands that retains NPP.

Ok for the non runflat
?
But said you can drive little distance at low speed with deflate tires...
What I did after an instantaneous deflate from 35 to 0 psi (big metal piece in my tires)

Looks like the runflat even it doesn’t say so...

My tires sound loud and like a truck tire. They didn't used to and seem to hum louder at certain speeds. I'm not sure if it's because they are worn at over 9K miles with a few track days on them or it's something else like bearings. Thoughts?

Same here. On the stock Goodyear tires and between 25-32mph these tires make quite a howl/hum or whatever you want to call it. I usually only notice it when cruising through my neighborhood at low speed.

Thinking of going with Michelin PS4S when the time comes since this is street only car for me.

No. Road surface, presence of curbs and jersey barriers matters way more.

Our cars are surprisingly quiet at highway speeds, even with shiny tires and an open top. Harder to have a conversation in my wife's Solara with michelins than my Z with bald OEMs at 80mph.

I agree with this 💯. I’m on my second set of the stock Goodyears and they howl like no other between 25-35 cruising speeds. Highway speeds are acceptable.

Thanks for the feedback. I usually drive with the windows down which masks most of the howl but lately with the heat I have been using the AC. These suckers are loud in that 25-35 mph range. I thought it may have been the diff making noise or some thing but I flushed that fluid. It is really only at those low speeds. Once moving at 40mph plus it is fine.

When they the time comes I will put a set of Michelin PS4S and hopefully that will eliminate it.
