Nope, not on mine...I always let the car warm up and settle down to under 1000 RPM's before I put the car in D or R and take off.

Expand your "lurch" description please. Are you expecting to put it in Drive without feeling any forward movement attempt?

Please include what other automatic vehicles you are comparing the experience with as well - thanks.

Soooooo I finally got around to taking my car to the dealer. Didn’t hear anything back from them so I called and was told that they aren’t done because they need to hook it up to a picoscope and test drive it first and they can’t do that while it’s raining

Just wondering if your car is still doing well with the new flush? Apparently none of the dealerships in the DFW area have the new tool kit yet to preform the flush with the new fluid. So they will be flushing my car with the old fluid, which I know if just a temp fix. I would assume they will flush with the new fluid when the shudder returns. My biggest concern is that, I have a trip to Florida on March 28th, I'm not comfortable driving my car that far on the old fluid when I know the shudder return is imminent. Any idea when the tool kit will arrive at all of the Chevrolet Dealerships? I asked my dealership for an ETA and they couldn't give me one, I chatted with a GM customer service rep and they too could not give me an ETA. I'm going to be bummed if I can't take my car on this trip.

Yep, still great and no sign of the problem. Probably 600 miles or so since the flush I guess. Earlier posts were saying they were supposed to have it nationwide by the end of February. Hopefully that hasn't changed.

Man, one can only hope. I really don't want to drive my Sonic all the way to Florida haha My dealer told me they had the oil, just no toolkit yet. I guess I can just call continuously until they get it.

When it occurs there is a delay usually from P to D, then is almost like a buck of the car...any GM vehicle, including past Camaro's that I have owned, Corvette's driven, 4 speed, 6 speed, 8 speed, 9 speed...it is a known issue with the A8, not something that is normal.

The delay is odd for sure.

9 Speed GM in a RWD vehicle?

1-2 shift got me again today. It’s only 53F outside and I remote started the car about 3 minutes before getting in and driving, so it should have been plenty warm. Backed up out of driveway (15 feet), put it in D, the car held first gear for 2k or so rpm, then the problem happens and my head/body snaps forward. Ugh. Wish this was repeatable so I could show the dealer.

That's not enough to get the car up to temp. Especially the transmission. Especially these transmissions with the cooling solutions we have.

I had this lurch as well. I had the flush done and it was more noticeable after that. Definitely not normal.

I had mine flush 3 times already, once when the trans line cooler tsb was done, another time when the TCM was reprogrammed and then once when my A8 crapped out completely and had to be rebuilt...trying to schedule mine for this "new" flush next week. We will see what happens.
